POUGHKEEPSIE– Every child deserves to start life with dignity and comfort, yet for many families in Dutchess and Orange Counties, providing essential items like diapers can be a struggle. United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region is dedicated to supporting these families in need. Babies use an estimated 6,000 to 7,100 diapers in their first two and a half years! Last year, thanks to the incredible generosity of supporters in our community, we collected over 100,000 diapers for families facing financial hardship. However, the need persists, and we are looking for help to meet this need for 2025.
