United Way wants all children to be educated and ready to succeed. We want all families to be healthy, financially stable and independent. We want all neighborhoods to be vibrant and safe. With the power of caring organizations and individuals, we'll make our community stronger. A partnership with local schools and educators is, of course, vital in this process.
Together, we'll make our community better.
United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region helps school districts and families through these initiatives:
- New Essential Items – hygiene items, school supplies, clothing (includes Bomba socks to fit middle school and older students).
- Crisis Funds – school district personnel can request specific help for a family or individual.
- Volunteer opportunities and platforms to gather public voices and engage the community in solutions (community conversations, non-profit seminars).
