We are accountable to you.

We are committed to the responsible stewardship of your generous donations. Our accountability extends to both our donors and the community we serve. We ensure that every dollar is strategically invested to maximize measurable impact and foster a thriving region. Through a collaborative network of partner organizations and a results-driven funding approach, we align investments with shared goals and track progress against specific metrics. This rigorous approach enhances our ability to drive meaningful, lasting change.

How do you know United Way spends your money wisely?

Adopting a funding approach that is driven by our community, United Way has engaged non-profits, business, government and community leaders in a process to identify our most pressing challenges and set priorities towards funding solutions. We believe that we can more effectively address community issues through communication, collaboration, sharing resources and celebrating best practices. Your investment is directed to specific programs that fill the needs of our county: Education, Income and Health.

We all want to make a difference.

We all want to live and work in a thriving community. United Way funds programs at nonprofit organizations and together we are working to improve the lives of our friends and neighbors.

United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region's Code of Ethics expresses our fundamental values. Accordingly, this Code guides the conduct of all employees, volunteers and representatives of United Way, and is intended to foster an environment that promotes ethical conduct in carrying out their responsibilities.
