UNITED WAY WORKPLACE CAMPAIGN
Every year, United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region partners with local organizations to share information about the greatest needs in our community and ask employees to lend their support. The needs are great, but when we come together we can make a real and meaningful difference in the Dutchess-Orange Region.
WHO DOES THE CAMPAIGN HELP?
United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region is dedicated to serving the entire population of Dutchess County and Orange County. Every individual in these communities has access to the support and services provided by our organization. Additionally, all funds raised through our fundraising efforts are kept within the region, ensuring that they are used to directly support and improve the lives of our local neighbors in need.
BENEFITS OF HOSTING A WORKPLACE CAMPAIGN
- Educating employees about local challenges and promoting social awareness
- Providing opportunities for employees to donate money to support local causes
- Fostering a culture of corporate social responsibility within the company
- Providing opportunities for employees to engage in volunteer activities
- Encourage team building and improve employee morale and job satisfaction.
HOW DOES THE CAMPAIGN SUPPORT OUR COMMUNITY PARTNERS?
The funds raised are directed towards local nonprofit organizations, who provide programs and services to improve the lives of people within our community. The issues facing our region are multifaceted and interconnected, and cannot be effectively addressed by any single nonprofit or program. By working in partnership, our nonprofit partners will collectively enhance the strength of our community, ensuring that no one falls through the gaps. Local nonprofits respond to an annual Request for Proposal (RFP) to receive funding.
WHAT IS AN EMPLOYEE CAMPAIGN MANAGER (ECM)?
ECMs foster engagement and education among co-workers, generating enthusiasm, and raising funds to achieve the philanthropic goals of the organization. Every successful workplace campaign contributes towards the development of a stronger and healthier community.
